Walk Among Majestic Bur Oaks at Far West Wildlife-Friendly Farm

Located on the western edge of the Flint Hills in Morris County, this 284-acre property features bur oak trees, historic buffalo wallows, and abundant wildlife including deer, beavers, turkeys, owls, and a wide variety of songbirds. A 1-mile hiking trail begins at Kendalls Bur Oak Grove and features a relaxing hike along Clark's Creek among century-old bur oak trees. Kendalls Grove has been known as a community gathering place and will continue to be with the recent addition of a large picnic table crafted from wood harvested from a natural wind fall on the property. The hiking trail is open to visitors year-round, from dawn to dusk, while access to the north portion of the property is available by appointment only.
